Sociology, BS

The BS with a major in sociology requires 33 semester hours in sociology, including course, course, course and course. No more than six hours of lower-division sociology credit may be applied to the major. Students must achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA in all sociology courses taken for the major. Associated requirement:course is to be taken within the first nine hours of sociology coursework. Any "topics" courses may be repeated, provided the specific subject matter changes. A minor is required; any minor approved for the BS degree is acceptable.
