This course delves into the social factors that shape mental health disparities and access to mental health care.Together, we examine topics such as why and how certain behaviors are labeled an "illness," how social inequalities "get under the skin," and systemic barriers that hinder access to care. As part of the course, students investigate mental health-related social problems.
