Long Description (Catalog Description)
An exploration of the rhetorical strategies by which science is integrated into our lives. This course will demonstrate how scientific realities are rhetorically and socially constructed at the intersection of science and citizenship. Students will examine the complex relationships between science, faith, racism, and social justice and will attend to how economic, sexual, racial, or ability differences may intersect with issues like environmental justice or access to healthcare.
