Prerequisites: ARAB 20053 with a grade of C- or better, or permission of instructor. This course is the fourth in a series, build on language skills developed in Arabic I-III. It aims to advance students' reading, writing, listening and comprehension skills, enabling them to read and analyze a wider range of texts, including news articles and longer narrations. Students are expected to acquire extensive knowledge in grammar, syntax and vocabulary, with a stress on cultivating speaking skills. They will become more familiar with the Levantine colloquial and gain knowledge of the culturally diverse Arabic-speaking world.
