Prerequisites: Must be a Business major with Junior standing and have completed MANA 30153 or MANA 30250 and MANA 40250 with a grade of at least C or have permission from the Department. Leadership Minors must have completed MANA 30833 and MANA 30843 with a grade of at least C or have permission from the Department. Modern organizational work frequently takes place within the boundaries of teams of various types (face-to-face, virtual, or hybrid teams). Understanding how teams function and how best to empower them has become vitally important for successful leadership/followership. The purpose of this course is to build and apply practical knowledge of team dynamics through experiential activities. Emphasis is placed on how to create a team environment and manage a team to promote creativity, psychological safety, cohesion, permission to fail and learn, and inclusivity. Students in this class will also utilize frameworks and skills in a team environment to understand and solve problems.
