Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisite: COSD 10303 with a grade of C or better. This course will focus on identifying the fundamental concepts related to scientific inquiry in communication sciences and disorders to allow students to become critical readers of peer-reviewed journal articles. The course will consider identification of research literature relevant to a specific topic or disorder, basic concepts involved in the formulation of research questions and methodology, and levels of research evidence available to audiologists and speech language pathologists.
