Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisites: PSYC 30503. This class will meet for three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory per week. Topics for this course include gaining an appreciation for experimental cognitive psychology - the study of how knowledge is acquired, represented, and maintained. Major findings and current thinking about a broad range of topics in experimental cognitive psychology will be discussed in the areas of attention, memory, language, decision-making, and reasoning among others. Credit cannot be given for both PSYC 30524 and PSYC 30453.
