Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program and concurrent enrollment in Senior I courses. This course examines assessment and evaluation methods, strategies, and procedures within the classroom context. Both formal and informal methods of gathering educational information and monitoring children's progress will be integral parts of this course. Students learn how to develop appropriate assessments and interpret assessment information for educational program planning. Students also learn how to make modifications and accommodations for testing students who are English language learners and students with disabilities.
