Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisites: Admission to the Teacher Education Program. This is a required course in the ECE Junior 1 Block. With its theoretical and research-based framework, this course is designed to prepare students to support development, health, and learning through play. Students learn developmentally appropriate strategies for promoting creative thinking, inquiry, and self-expression in core content areas and the fine arts.
