Long Description (Catalog Description)

This course provides students with the knowledge of strength and conditioning principles to improve muscular strength, endurance, and overall fitness. Designed for students with varying levels of experience, it promotes safe and effective exercise practices and provides the knowledge necessary to design personalized strength training programs for lifelong fitness. Emphasizing safety, effective resistance training techniques, and exercise science fundamentals, students will engage in resistance training using a combination of free weights, machines, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises. (This course is only offered as P/NC)
