Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisite: Admission to Teacher Education. Based on state and national standards, theory, and research and with particular emphasis on active citizenshipand diversity, this course introduces methods and resources for teaching social studies in EC-6 classrooms. Specific, practical methods for teaching social studies and integrating social studies disciplines with other content areas will be explored.
