Prerequisites: SOWO 10833 or permission of instructor. This course introduces theories and skills related to macro social work practice and focuses on issues related to spatial justice and critical competence. It utilizes an interprofessional approach by examining the various macro systems that impact communities and ways in which community organizations utilize community assets to createlarge-scale change. This course introduces and utilizes skills related to community organizing, community development, community and organizational assessments and evaluations, and community research.
