Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisites: BIOL 30403 or graduate student standing. Four semester hours in Biology. This course consists of three 1-hour lectures and one 3-hour lab per week. Lectures cover advanced topics in ecology, with an emphasis on ecological theory, conducting field and lab experiments, and interpreting and communicating scientific findings. The laboratory portion of this course emphasizes study design, hypothesis testing, and the development of independent ecological research projects.
