Long Description (Catalog Description)
This is a basic course covering crystallography, recognition, origin, and economic significance of the most important minerals, and origin and identification of igneous and metamorphic rocks. A weekend field trip to the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma is required and involves some hiking.
