Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisites: HLTH 30203. This course is an exploration of the traditional healthcare field, including complementary and integrative healthcare treatments from a consumer and healthcare professional perspective. Students will learn to utilize methods of critical analysis to evaluate credible claims made in the marketplace and by government agencies. Consumer protection and rights, marketing, science,public agenda setting, and special interest groups are studied with the objective of developing critical consumers of healthcare.
