This course explores special themes in Asian Studies, including, but not limited to, literary, cinematic, social, political, economic, cultural, and international relations topics. Students analyze the course's theme on Asia in transnational contexts through class readings, presentations, discussions, and class assignments. Students will conduct research and write a final paper and/or create a final project on an approved Asian Studies topic, following the guidelines established by the instructor. This class is taught by regular or visiting faculty. Topics change each term. May be repeated for credit as topic changes.
