Long Description (Catalog Description)

This course is designed to explore historical and contemporary theories related to family functioning and to analyze the impact of varying demographics, stressors, and transitions on family dynamics. Theories will be presented in class and applied to diverse family systems within cultural and societal contexts. Emphasis will be placed on non-traditional family systems and the varied impact of stressors on different types of family systems.
