Prerequisites: THEA 21223 and THEA 31463 and department permission required. This course will serve as an introduction to the principles and practices of stage management and an introduction to the unions that affect stage management. This is a lecture class involving classroom discussion, presentations, and projects about stage management in theatre, dance, opera, event, and other forms of live production. Topics covered include AEA-based stage management, organization, communication, production protocol, and rehearsal and performance practices.
