Prerequisite: A 'C-' or better in any 3 or more semester hours ECON course, and either MATH 10283 or MATH 10524. Microeconomics studies the behavior of individual economic agents and their interactions. Topics covered include consumer behavior and demand theory, the theory of the firm, gains from trade, market structure, and market failures. This course takes a more mathematical approach to the topics covered in ECON 30223. Credit not awarded for both ECON 30223 and ECON 31223.
