Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisites: MATH 10524, which may be taken concurrently, or permission of instructor. Four hours of lectures and one 2-hour laboratory per week selected to reinforce the concepts discussed in lecture. The first of a three-semester sequence for students in Department of Physics & Astronomy majors, including Newton's laws of motion, the conservation of momentum, angular momentum, and energy; and the theory of gravitation. Credit will not be granted for this course and any of the following: PHYS 10154, 20474.
