Prerequisites: MANA 30153 and 30323 (with a grade of at least C in both), FINA 30153 (concurrent enrollment in FINA 30153 is acceptable), and must be a declared business major. Concurrent enrollment in MANA 30323 is not allowed. Managers and consultants are commonly called upon to solve complex problems that require them to possess a unique set of skills. Specifically, they must be able to identify and assess problems, research available options, and create and propose possible solutions. This course introduces the research skills needed to address complex organizational problems. It also introduces practice of consultancy and gives students opportunities to apply their skills in realistic consulting contexts.
