Prerequisites: MANA 30153 with a grade of at least C or concurrent enrollment, and must be a declared business major. This course cannot be taken for credit by students admitted to or enrolled in the BNSF Neeley Leadership Program. This course is designed to provide an in-depth analysis of leadership development from theoretical and practical perspectives. An emphasis is placed on opportunities for introspection regarding the manifestation and application of leadership competencies. Throughout the course, an effort is also made to assist class members with strengthening selected leadership skills that can contribute to their professional effectiveness, career success, and general well-being. To accomplish the learning goals of this course, varying instructional methodologies will be employed--including, lectures, cases, experiential exercises, self-assessments/reflection, and discussion.
