Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisites: WGST 20003. This course will serve as an introduction to the diverse theories, political movements, histories, identities, and arts that could be called queer. In this class, students will utilize queer theories to better understand and respond to the complex systems of marginalization, violence, and privilege that organize our social worlds today and to better understand our own positionality within those systems.
