Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisite: COSD 20503 with a grade of C or higher, SPPA or DHHS major or permission of instructor. This course will focus on the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous systems in relation to normal and disordered communication and swallowing. Nervous system anatomy and physiology will be studied within the context of how structures, pathways, and systems support speech, language, cognition, hearing and swallowing.
