Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisite: STCO 11103, 16103, 32403, and 35503. The use of advertising, public relations and marketing principles to create social change by influencing people's attitudes and behavior. Commonly used in public health communication, social marketing tackles societal problems needing behavioral change. Introduces the field of transformative consumer research. Students must earn a C or higher in each strategic communication course required for credit toward completion of STCO major degree requirements.
