Long Description (Catalog Description)

3 hours. Prerequisites: Permission of instructor, and must be a declared business major or a finance minor. Finance minors who are not business majors must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in ECON 30223. The objective of the class is to expose students to different aspects of financial issues from an international perspective. The course provides the opportunity to study variations in business practices and experience distinct cultures in an international setting. Students will have the opportunity to experience topically relevant practices, for example by visiting local firms and interacting with business people in order to obtain a firsthand understanding of the impact of global influences.
