Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisites: GEOL 10113 or equivalent, and permission of instructor. This course examines the chemical and physical processes involved in producing minerals, soils and rocks on the earth. Students also learn how these materials are used in our society as well as the economic importance and environmental implications of their use. The class combines lecture and laboratory to provide the most complete experience for students. Credit will not be granted forboth GEOL 30213 and ENSC/GEOL 30443. (Crosslisted as ENSC/GEOL 30443)
