Prerequisites: Must be either a) a business minor with completion of ECON 10223 and completion or concurrent enrollment in ACCT 20653 or b) admitted to the consultative selling certificate program or c) a Nutrition major with completion of ECON10223. Students may not receive credit for both MARK 30153 and MARK 30653. This course introduces the theory and practice of marketing, including the basic structure of getting products/services to market; the fundamentals of marketing: consumer research, product planning, promotion of all types, distribution channels, pricing, and retail merchandising. The content will focus on marketing activities in consumer, reseller, industrial, government, and service markets. This course is not for business majors.
