Prerequisites: KINE 10101, TCU cumulative GPA and KINE major GPA of 2.5 or higher, or instructor permission. The sociology of sport focuses on examining the interaction between society and sport. In particular, the course examines issues such as youth sport, violence in sport, commercialization of sport, the media and sport, politics and sport, religion and sport, and the role of gender, race, and socioeconomic status within sport.
