Prerequisites: Must be a declared Business major; INSC 30313 with a grade of C or better or concurrent enrollment in INSC 30313 is permitted. This course explores the strategies and complexities of managing supply chains in a global context. Students will examine how companies design, coordinate, and optimize supply networks that span multiple countries and regions. Topics include international sourcing, cross-border logistics, global transportation infrastructure, trade regulations, cultural considerations, and risk management in uncertain geopolitical and economic environments. Emphasis is placed on how global supply chains create value, adapt to disruptions, and support competitive advantage in an interconnected world. Through real-world case studies, simulations and analytical frameworks, students will develop the skills needed to navigate the challenges and opportunities of global supply chains.
