Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisites: PHYS 20474, MATH 20524, which may be taken concurrently, or permission of instructor. Three hours of lectures and one 2-hour laboratory per week selected to reinforce the concepts discussed in lecture. The second of a two-semester sequence recommended for students of physical sciences or engineering. Electric charge, current and field; magnetism, time varying electromagnetic fields; physical and geometric optics. Credit will not be granted for this course and any of the following: PHYS 10164. 20485.
