Prerequisites: Must be a declared Business major or by permission of department chair; Grade of C or better in INSC 30313 or concurrent enrollment in INSC 30313 is permitted. This course examines the strategic role of procurement in supply chain management, focusing on the alignment between purchasing decisions and organizational objectives. Students examine category management, supplier selection and evaluation, cost modeling, global sourcing, negotiations, supply base management, and responsible sourcing as key components of an effective procurement strategy.
