Prerequisite: MUSI 20213. Counterpoint in the style of 18th century compositions. Topics include melodic structure, two-part textures, multiple-part textures, chromaticism, invertible counterpoint, imitation, the trio sonata, fugue, cantata, and contrapuntal variation forms.
