Long Description (Catalog Description)
Prerequisite: Music Major. This course introduces foundational skills for playing and teaching the saxophone, oboe, and bassoon, with emphasis on beginning-level pedagogy. Students develop functional performance ability, essential tone production and articulation techniques, and pedagogical strategies for introducing and sequencing early instruction in both homogeneous and heterogeneous ensemble settings. Selected intermediate techniques may be addressed as appropriate.
