TCU Jazz Ensembles provides students with the opportunity to rehearse and perform big band music in a collaborative setting. Emphasis is placed on listening skills, intonation, style, blend, improvisation, and pedagogy. The ensembles will cover repertoire from legendary to contemporary artists. Students are expected to come to rehearsals prepared, participate actively, and perform in public concerts throughout the semester. Open to students by audition in the fall or by permission of instructor. May be repeated for credit.
