Chamber Music Ensemble provides students with the opportunity to rehearse and perform works written for small ensembles in a collaborative setting. Emphasis is placed on ensemble communication, listening skills, intonation, phrasing, blend, and musical interpretation. Repertoire spans a wide range of styles and historical periods, from classical to contemporary, and may include works for strings, winds, piano, and mixed instrumentation. Students are expected to attend rehearsals prepared, contribute actively, and participate in public performances throughout the semester. May be repeated for credit.
