Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisites: Dance major or permission of instructor and successful completion of ENGL 10803 and 20803. This course examines the development of dance from a global perspective. Beginning in antiquity and culminating with the early Renaissance, it investigates social conditions, political situations, religious customs, cultural traditions, and economic contexts for the development of dance forms across the world.
