Long Description (Catalog Description)
3 hours. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing, and must be a declared pre-business or declared business major. Tasks of the manager are studied in the context of his/her role as an administrative decision maker. Emphasis placed on understanding the organization as a system where the manager needs to examine a variety of variables in order to arrive at problem solutions. Management processes, system concepts, models for decision making, and behavioral concepts involving motivation, leadership, group activity, conflict and change are covered. Students may not receive credit for both MANA 30153 and MANA 30653.
