Long Description (Catalog Description)

Prerequisites: A grade of 'C' or better in DSGN 10133 Color and Light Theory. A series of lectures and laboratory experiments through which students will develop both technical and aesthetic understanding of architectural lighting. Special emphasis on the color metrics, luminaire typologies, photometric analysis, calculations, human centered design, and the lighting design process for both daylight and electrical lighting.
