This course will serve as an interdisciplinary introduction to Women and Gender Studies, focusing on major issues and theories, for which gender and sexuality provide the unifying themes. The interactive curriculum emphasizes threshold concepts in the field of women's, gender, and sexuality studies: the social construction of gender, sex, and sexuality; privilege and oppression; intersectionality; and feminist praxis.
