Prerequisites: PHYS 30313, 30493 and MATH 30524 all with a C- or better, or permission of instructor. The Schrodinger equations, operators, stationary states; Quantum theory of angular momentum; the harmonic oscillator; the hydrogen atom; perturbation theory and the variational method.
