Long Description (Catalog Description)
Three lecture hours per week. Introduction to chemical principles and their application: stoichiometry, solutions, oxidation-reduction, thermochemistry,atomic structure, bonding theories, molecular geometries, gases/liquids/solids, intermolecular forces of attraction. Emphasis on problem-solving and visualizing matter at the particulate level. Credit will not be given for both CHEM 10013 and CHEM 10113.
